Our client is a very dynamic and highly professional Trading House operating in the Zug area. On his behalf we are looking for a highly dynamic and talented professional
Your Challenge
-
responsible to execute traffic contracts
-
process all traffic documents and make sure that all requirements are met
-
letter of credits L/C execution and verification
-
external contacts with banks, shipping companies, agents and others
-
be responsible to organize transports from ports and warehouses
-
take care of overseas inquiries
-
supervision of loading and unloading of cargos
-
arrange inspection services
-
negotiate service contracts with surveyors and update the necessary data
-
ensure that transactions are complete
-
complaint management
-
track orders
-
domestic logistics operations coordinating operations with local companies
-
forward instructions to the respective parties
-
contact person for clients in terms of logistic matters
-
To manage all goods documentation, traffic and shipments to ensure that customers agreed delivery commitments are met on time, at minimum cost to Company and on quality
-
To communicate with clients, inspection companies & forwarders, and others as required
-
To be responsible for organising relevant traffic documentation for shipping of pellets which will allow for invoicing & payment by customer in fastest possible time
-
Early warning (to CCO, Finance/Treasury ) of possible issues which may negatively impact forecast revenue capture
-
Early engagement of relevant Marketing Manager of any issues, problems which require resolution

Make recommendations / institute Continuous improvement in the way we work
-
sales contract and related addenda drafts with Marketing Manager for CCO approval, and facilitate with Marketing Manager through to customer execution
-
Ensure cargo is ready in all respects to meet customer delivery commitment. Track cargo to agreed customer delivery point

Liaise with suppliers, customers, transport companies, Forwarders Surveyors, Port
-
Negotiate logistic agreements
-
Check invoices sent from FPM / FSMS / others respectively
-
Capture data of all shipments in the ERP System always up to date
-
Ensure payment method and documentation for each shipment meets Company requirements. Bank liaison as required for Letters of Credit.

Manage any quality complaints / issues in accordance with Company Quality complaints procedure
-
Track cargo/ Invoice until final and full payment received.

Involved in specific special projects regarding Marketing Logistics chain to customer
-
Support and substitute for traffic colleagues as appropriate
-
Provides cover for colleagues on holiday / absent
-
Demurrage & Despatch negotiation and settlement as requiredManage and disseminate planning reports regarding shipments
-
Gain & Loss checking with Accounting on ship by ship basis
Your Qualifications
-
28 / 45 years of age
-
commercial education or bachelor degree
-
around 6-10 years of Traffic experience in the Concentrates Field
-
preferably having worked for Glencore, Trafigura, Marc Rich or Nyrstar
-
strong experience in the operation chain
-
experience with Letter of Credits
-
experience with shipping
-
strong skills with MS Office applications and ERP programs
-
excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
-
strong interpersonal skills
-
strong organisational skills, very accurate way of working
-
hands-on mentality
-
flexible and teamplayer
-
highly reliable
